It was a nice afternoon yesterday, so I got my 360 block up on the engine stand and cleaned it up a bit. Hopefully I can get by the machine shop this week and get it checked out.

You can see it had at least three coats of paint on it. The first was the Chrysler aqua blue color, then red, and then another shade of blue. It took a quart of Varsol and a lot of scrubbing to get it to this point.

I count 4 colors. Aqua,blue,red and orange.

I hope it hasnt been bored that many times.

The orange is really red that got cooked. I don't have a cylinder bore gauge, but I measured the top of the bore with a steel machinists ruler and it was exactly 4.00". There is a pretty good ridge at the top of the bore, and some light pitting in some of the cylinder. Hopefully it will clean up with an .030" bore job.
