Engine won't stay running

I am looking at buying my younger brother a 98 neon, and the little things in great shape except the engine won't stay running. It will run for 10 or 15 minutes, then stalls out. Fella thought the coil was bad so he replaced it, but there was no change. Would a weak fuel pump cause this? If anyone's got any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

could be clogged cat!! pressure build up and kills the motor.

electric fuel pump or just the fuel filter can cause that.
