epoxy primer question

-
I talked to a guy at SPI about spraying epoxy over etch primer. I was told to etch my whole car by what I thought was a reliable source and then start with the 2K high build primer. Then I asked about epoxy! Guy at SPI said that there can be a reaction with the UV light where the etch (acid) primer can develop moisture droplets under the epoxy and cause lifting/bubbling. He said the only place I might get away with it is the interior of the car since it’s all covered. Do, I am planning on stripping the car back down to bare metal and starting over. Good times-NOT!

I will learn how to post pics some day..lol:thankyou:

So, I normally use R&M epoxy primer. But my boss just gave me a gallon of sherwin williams industrial epoxy primer. It’s got one hell of a nose on it (must be good, right?) I plan on using that on my next block. I can get the numbers off of it tomorrow. I just sprayed roof and quarters of 69 notch yesterday

Epoxy primers will even stick to fresh cat poop! It is that good!
And remember, fresh cat poop is the slickest stuff there is!

I've been using U-Tech epoxy primer on my engines for years now. i use gray. just because i just never thought of using a different color.
