Can anyone tell me where I can get a socket flange to attach to the stock truck exhaust manifold on a 2004 5.7 hemi? I need to have a starter tube that goes to 2.5 in tube. Or can anyone detail out what they used to get this going? I've thought that maybe i just need a stock downtube from a junkyard. Any insight on this would be very helpful.

or go to summit and get one there. They sell them as a kit for about 80.00. But a junk yard would probably be the cheapest way to go.

I found the flares at mandrel bends, but i don't see what you are talking about at summit. Can you give me a link? Maybe I am typing or searching the wrong thing, but i can't find anything but the complete ball and socket assy or flares for a mustang which may or may not be the same thing. can anyone verify?

you would have to buy the ball and socket setup, and only use half of it. Give me some time and I'll see if I can ship you some. You want the ones from a ram?

Are you trying to use these manifolds in an A-body?

That would be awesome - yes the ones from a Ram.

This is not in an A-Body, it is in a 71 D100. This just happens to be the best place I have found for hemi swap information. PLease don't hate me, it's still Mopar.

Here is where my project is at. just need to run the exhaust so I can put the cab back on.

and all mopars, and various other cool cars... So, WELCOME!

Now, show us some pics of this truck.

My wife and I need a truck for her pulling a horse (her hobby) and I was thinking the other day that when my A-body Hemi swap/build is done maybe a older truck is in order.

Here are a couple pics, the bottom is right after picking her up, and the other two are with the slant 6 after installing an IFS before I came into the hemi.
