Extent Or Your Cars Weight Reduction

-
This car initially weighed 3165 upon completion in 2005. mega-block hemi, steel[except hood], factory glass, 90%+ interior. It currently weighs about 120 lbs. more. [bigger cooling, alternator, bigger full system, and heavier wheels/tires]. Lots of hidden holes, deleted original parts, chrome-moly, aluminum, lightest components available, and liberal acid-dipping in the front. Nothing weighs less than a hole.
I have a complete to rear-bumper exhaust system, and it gets street-driven on occasion.

My 64 Belvedere is a pure racecar. So no heater, wiper, exhaust. Except the back seat everything else is there.Full interior, all steel except hood. It has factory bumpers, Mega block, Dana. 3050lbs without me. You just have to get creative.

I had one of Dave Wren's old cars. This was the body-in-white, 1974 boycott car. 2900 ready to race, minus driver. 360/904

Mine was 3,043lbs prior to the fiberglass bumpers/brackets and Lithium battery. I'm about to get it weighed again at my chassis shop, but we're thinking it's around 2,960lbs now. Probably close to 52/48 balance since I took weight off the rear.

Full interior. Back seat. Sound deadener. No holes. All steel body. Dana 60. 904. No heater

I would love to have a lightweight car due to the fact that doesn't require as big of a motor to go fast. I personally really like cars that are stockish looking and haul the mail. I think it's a compromise of what you really want. I like my roll up and down windows, being able to open and shut the hood with the hinges, etc.
