Finally got the front suspension out of the parts car. If I ever find the guy who was welder happy...

They do that on i think bring a trailer
I seen a documentary on someone restoring one of the first vw buses they must have had 10,000 HRS on this thing
Who has the time or $$$ for that
Is it worth over 1,000,000 when done ?

Not everyone is in this hobby just for the money you know. Something of historic value might not ever bring the monetary return of repairing it, but just because you can't make money on it doesn't mean it isn't worth doing for other reasons.

If that's the worst of it, yeah, I think it's fixable.
I don't plan on using this one anyway, I have a complete setup from a '74 BBP-disc I plan on using, unless the '69 K frame is better than a '74 for some reason. I wouldn't want to sell it to someone if it's junk though.

Oh i know im not going to make $$ on my car either
Its impressive what can be done to save a vin #
Like some one said if your replaced 90 % of something is it still original
They had to recast the trans case cause it rotted away .....is that still considered # matching
Another article was about a Bugatti they was pushed off a dock 70+ years ago
They where saying someone might restore it
It was a rusted blob still worth a couple of 100k the way it was

That's what we're missing on this forum! A most rotten car thread. The car in the OP just might have a shot. lol
I disagree. My Demon was so rusted that the front end was laying on the ground and the back ends of the front frame rails were sticking 5" up through the floor.

But that's nothing compared to the 1970 Boss Mustang I have, it's 90% rusted out, but still on a back burner for heavy resto.

I have a local friend with a restored 70 Super Bee that was like that. Everybody and then some told him it was toast and beyond help.....which it was. It was a numbers 383 4 speed ram charger hood car so he had to save it. OF course him being him, he yanked the 383 out and slammed a 440 six pack in it. lol He saved the 383 of course. I'm glad he saved it. It is a beautiful car.
