Finally joining...new to me '68 Dart

Hi everybody. I'm finally joining this great forum. I picked up a new-to-me '68 Dart 270 "roller" in PP-1 red w/ white bench interior and black vinyl top that used to be a slant six/A904. The guy I bought it from sold the engine and transmission out of it and had plans to do a 340 GTS clone, but lost interest in the project.

My plans are as follows: It has no hood or engine/trans so I'm going to slap together a 360 Magnum w/ 2.02 intake LA intake pattern "iron ram" heads; induction will be a fuel injected Edelbrock TR5 tunnel ram (will use FAST EZ-efi and 2x 4bbl TBIs); transmission will be a 4 speed; engine compartment to be topped off with a '70s pro stock style scoop (Arlen Vanke square-ish style) on a fiberglass hood. The car will be repainted plum crazy, most likely. I know a lot of people don't like those colors on pre-70s cars, but I always liked the color and it will help with the '70s drag racer vibe, I think. I will be swapping in a 3.55 geared 8 3/4" rear and front discs and .920" torsion bars from my '68 Dart 4 door.

69 Dart tail lights...will be swapping in '68 tail lights (from my 4-door) Emblem is on upside-down, too.

The other Dart...will be swapping out some of the choice parts, but still plan to keep/fix up this car, too.

Grill and bezels are in pretty good shape...never seen an un-dented original '68 Dart headlight bezel (besides repros and the $900 set at Carlisle a couple years ago)

It's an Edelbrock TR-5, the bottom section has cast into it "TR-5" and the top has cast into it "TR-1Y," which I think is a universal/small block Chevy top.

Thanks for the compliments. Just as I read in Mopar Action before, draw a 25 mi radius around your house, and the car you want will be in that circle. I didn't have to go far to find the car.
 
I read that 25 mi tip and i hope its true when i go looking for my A-body. WElcome to FABO!! That is a beautiful '68! Best of luck with her.

BTW, the trunk emblem upside down looks good and different
 
I kinda doubt there is a '69 daytona for sale within 25mi.... But I don't have the cash anyway so what the hey.
