i went to the philadelphia modifiers show last sunday at atco raceway.... i figured i'd see what the dart would run since it was a nice day and all.... the only tires i had laying around were an old set of M/T indy profile bias ply street tires.... so i get there and finally got to make my time run at about 10 am. the car smoked the tires throuh all thee gears.. just couldn't get it to hook.. ends up going 14.6 @102 mph... i was ok with that being it had a decent mph and it spun them so far.. and the important thing is it went down the track straight as an arrow and no vibrations or anything out of the ordinary. so while waiting for my next time run a couple crashes happened and alot of broken cars oil down the track so they decide not to give us another time run... i'm like what the hell do i put on the window?? so i figure it isn't going to get any traction so i put 14.50 on it and get into line... i heat the tires really good this time and when the light turns green i baby the crap out of it and lay into it slow. i mean i leave red lights on the street harder then this. and the car ends up going 13.26 @ 106.13 and the guy next to me red lights so i make it to the 2nd round.... so i put 13.26 on the window and get to the line.. baby it the same way and go a 13.13 @ 106.40. the guy next to me breaks out worse then me so i go to the third round...(yea me)...lol. so now i put 13.13 on the window go throught the same routine and this time i spin the tires and go 13.34 @ 106.09. lucky me the guy next to me breaks out.. here i goto the fourth round... hell after waiting to do my second run i was tired and wanted to go home and here i am in the fourth round.... any way i leave the 13.13 on the window heat the tires real good again and seem to get a decent launch out of it even though i babyed it again... it really felt good all the way down the track and i actually layed off the rev limiter and i get my time slip and it went 12.81 @ 106.91 mph.... i broke out but i really didn't care.. the car went 12.81 on the first day it was at the track while on street tires and babying it off the line.... i'm thinking if i open the exhaust and put some nice sticky tires on it and actually tune the thing it should run some real nice #'s....

below are the time slips... give me a break on the reaction times.. its been years since i was at the track....

The 1.9 60ft isn't bad considering how you were launching! If you can get some tire to stick you should run some mid 12's easy. Pretty impressive!

Dang that was funny, someone sure was surprised. Those cars sure were screamin, impressive for sure, whats in them for motors ?

the cuda and my dart are running the MP 360 short block with eddy heads.. we are running different cams and intakes though... his cuda also has a bigger convertor and 4:30 gears to my 3:91 gears... i was actually happy with the 14.6 run because it was the first run on the car and it went very smooth and straight after the tires stopped spinning... every thing else was just a bonus.. your not kidding i can't wait till i put some sticky tires on it... like you said should be easy mid 12's.. hell i'm still running 5/16 fuel line and a stock pump... hopefully if i open the exhaust it will some too...we will see down the road..

that was jamie that was filming (my girlfriend) she was a little suprised i would say...lol.

Congrats  Hope my Duster runs close to that, if all goes well I'll find out in December. What cam and intake setup are you running?
