I have a 73 440 coming back from the machine shop this week. It will have new cam bearings and freeze plugs. It is stock bore and only needed honed so I will be reusing the pistons. I will just be doing a re-ring and re-seal with new bearings, and timing set. The camshaft and lifters are shot and need replaced (see pic). I need camshaft recommendations for a reliable, low end torque, fun to drive engine. I spent alot of money to make my 68 Dart's 340 go fast, then never drove fast. This engine has the 73 346 heads. Do I need new springs to go with a new cam and lifters? Thanks FABO.

I forgot to mention it is going in my 72 Charger with power brakes.
without knowing the rest of the combo (intake, carb, trans/stall/gears) my shoot from the hip is keep it under 260 advertised duration, around 450 lift and try and find something that's in the 112~114 LSA area.

If you are using exhaust manifolds and stock converter:

If you want a lil more and are using headers, stout (3.55+ gears) and/or aftermarket converter, the cam RRR posted is almost exactly like this one, so either one:

I tend to be conservative as far as duration on street cams.
