Yes. Strange Engineering can hook you up.

do they run the Ford type ends and traditional type circle track hubs?

Floater axles help with running rear disk setups. Supposed to help with rear pad knock back. Forgot the reason for this, but you can look it up.

Also if you run new axle tubes you can run inner axle seal to keep diff oil in the center housing and from leaking out ends on cornering. Fitting them in OE Chrysler tubes is tricky.

Can someone explain what you are all referring to? "To me" floating axles are such as found on 3/T and larger trucks (normally) and early WWII Jeeps. This is the kind where you can pull the axle out and the wheel/ drum/ hub will still be "functional" on the vehicle

Same concepi as large trucks. Instead of the wheel end of the axle being bolted it has splines on the end and corresponding splines in the I.D. of the hub. There is a cap on the end of the hub that captures the axle inside where it "floats" between the cap and pin in a sure grip type rear end with about an 1/8" clearance.

Pretty snazzy stuff for the "I hate having money" kind of guy.

If you think it's expensive look at the Currie Enterprises floater stuff. If you want more economical give Quick Performance a call. They are less expensive but you would couldn't run a 5x4.5" bolt pattern unless you paid extra for them to redrill the lugs.

Cause anything is better than Green bearings! :poke:

Sumbitch they're supposed to shine a spotlight on the clouds to alert me when this comes up. It's in the shape of two people crapping in their hands and slinging it at one another.

It's because the hub bearings are seated on the axle and fixed to one another (like the front hubs on the front spindle) so the rotor runs true, compared to when there's a single bearing and the end of the axle is free to wobble within whatever play is in the receiving splines in the differential.

And then have the axles gun drilled to boot.
