Not everybody owns a camera? What a frackin lame *** excuse. Digital cameras are $4.99 in the LMM section at Wal Mart. No pics on a for sale ad for me = NO SALE.

i agree for the most part... a for sale add should have 1- price 2- description 3- contact info 4- pictures.
i run into this ALL the freaking time on Criagslist... people leave everything half way. i just move on.
BUT on the flip side... some people DO have good things for sale but aren't handy with computers or cameras or don't own a digital camera... and i have gotten some awesome deals or great buys with that...
example: on CL i found my 77 and they old man didn't have pictures or a description bec he had his other friend do the add. so it sparked my interest and i called anyway.. turns out he doesnt have a computer or a digital cam but the car was an AWESOME buy. so SOMETIMES you get those great deals but you don't know their situations... another thing about not having pictures or any of the other stuff on the add is when if you are the only one that goes to see it in the few months him/her has had it up for sale... they are willing to negotiate more the price. ive learned that as well.

On a side note, just as there is no excuse for not including pics in the ad, how about a price and location?

I will make an exception for your stuff old friend. If you got sumffin I want and you say it's good, I ain't sweatin it.
There is another side. I have an ad in the For Trade Forum right now. I am looking for something in particular but I have a whole raft of stuff I can trade for it. I don't think not having a pic of each individual part in the add is going to help anybody. If somebody has what I want and that same somebody sees the ad then we can talk. I do see your point on one or two parts, but not when there is as many as 20.

I just looked through the Cars for sale ads, at least 3 of them have no picture and are from someone with under 5 posts...most have 1 post. This is a really bad way to try to sell something.

What really irks me is when someone is trying to sell a custom item of some sort. Custom made or custom painted without a picture.
But pictures have helped me a lot. Asked about an item on another forum. He said it was in really good shape and all that and answered every one of my questions. After asking four times he finally sent a picture. The item in the picture was hardly what he described. I saved myself a whole lot of heartache.
