Have you guys ever had transmission fluid weep out from the kickdown band adjuster? How did you remedy it? Thread sealer on the adjuster? nylon washer on the locknut?
 
I had that happen one time. Teflon tape, yellow, gas resistant. I found that that area had a hairline crack, but the tape stopped it.
 
I see it quite often. Anytime I rebuild a trans I put good quality pipe dope (not the runny stuff NAPA sells) on the adjuster threads.
 
I should have mentioned I've never seen one leak bad. They just seep enough to to make a little mess. A lot of guys wouldn't even worry about it but I'm picky

I assume oil splash hits it and weeps through the threads
