Just bought the RCD Billsteins and have heard tale of the front shock upper bushings being incorrect (loose in the holes). I have not taken the car apart to check for myself, but looking at the bushings I can see the potential. I am not ready to take it apart unless I solve this possible problem (if it really is one). What is everyone using for the front upper shock bushings? Any part numbers? Thanks.

Problem is real. Will research my fix but has been awhile but bushings to fix the issue do exist. Measure the shock tower hole diameter and go from there.

To keep costs down on these shocks for customers I believe that all vendors are drop shipping them direct from RCD with the supplied bushings. Does not mean they are not right, as I have not confirmed, but I also have suspicions on the bushings as I see and hear.

What did you install them on? I’m working on a 72 Duster, so maybe it’s a vehicle specific problem?

On some shocks, the thread on the threaded shaft ends before the bushes are compressed enough....& they feel loose. If this is the problem, just add wshers.
