Front tire size

225/70 15 didn't fit mine on 6"
had to drop to a 215/70
i'm at 85%

I ran a 225/60/15’s on my ‘74 Duster with a 15x7 and a 4.25” backspace.

Are we talking 5x4.5” bolt pattern 73+ disk brakes on that 74?

thats 2 sizes shorter then a 225/70 and 215/65 is basicly same hight
no on my 69 dart ...they hit the front lower corner of the fender when turning ....

Yeah, I’m aware.

On the front anything much taller than 26” in overall tire height is usually a no go unless you’re up at 4x4 height, or they’re REALLY skinny tires that are well inset into the fenders.

I'm more concerned about interference on the inside using the 6.5" rim with 4.5" backspace.
you'll be fine at 6.5 wide & 4.5 bs. at 5" is when you need to start to get concerned about rim to component (upper arm/ball joint) clearance.

i'm at 15x7 with 4.25 (cop wheel) with 215/60 and 73+ brakes in a 69 barracuda. it only rubs at severe turn in at near full lock, but i am VERY low in the front.

with a reasonable ride height and enough t-bar & shock it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah mine if I have a weight on the inner lip hit the bj
Had them use tape weight

You’ll be fine. It will likely be about 3/8-1/2" away from the bottom front corner of the fender when turning and at the closest point. Backspacing will be fine

4.25" fits on the small ball joint upper control arms but things do get close at around that 4.25-4.5 mark

The large bolt pattern disc brakes have a slightly wider track than small so seeing as it’s a little further out I think it should accommodate that extra 1/4" from 4.25 to 4.5’" BS

that's an additional 1/2" positive offset compared to typical RWD mopar rims (typical is ~+1/4" positive offset, 6.5" with 4.5" backspace is 3/4" positive offset).

on the plus side is if it's normally the front corner of the wheelwell opening that's the limitation, the additional positive offset should help
