Hi. Will a 215 65 15 tire on a 6.5" rim with 4.5" backspace fit on a 1974 Duster?
Thanks
Thanks
thats 2 sizes shorter then a 225/70 and 215/65 is basicly same hightI ran a 225/60/15’s on my ‘74 Duster with a 15x7 and a 4.25” backspace.
Are we talking 5x4.5” bolt pattern 73+ disk brakes on that 74?

no on my 69 dart ...they hit the front lower corner of the fender when turning ....
Yes. Disc brakes with 5x4.5 bolt patternI ran a 225/60/15’s on my ‘74 Duster with a 15x7 and a 4.25” backspace.

I'm more concerned about interference on the inside using the 6.5" rim with 4.5" backspace.Yeah, I’m aware.
On the front anything much taller than 26” in overall tire height is usually a no go unless you’re up at 4x4 height, or they’re REALLY skinny tires that are well inset into the fenders.
you'll be fine at 6.5 wide & 4.5 bs. at 5" is when you need to start to get concerned about rim to component (upper arm/ball joint) clearance.I'm more concerned about interference on the inside using the 6.5" rim with 4.5" backspace.
that's an additional 1/2" positive offset compared to typical RWD mopar rims (typical is ~+1/4" positive offset, 6.5" with 4.5" backspace is 3/4" positive offset).I'm more concerned about interference on the inside using the 6.5" rim with 4.5" backspace.
