What would be a good way to clean out the inside of the filler neck..? Just some scaly looking muck...
What would you or have you used..?
Need a small diameter, long, telescoping toilet like brush..!
Thanks..!

I bought a full set of wire brushes for cleaning out engine blocks a long time ago. Different sizes from Like 1/2" up to 2" maybe. Like bottle brushes on long twisted metal rods.

What I do is slip a spray can cap onto one end and duct tape it up good and tight. Then fill it up with Evaporust or vinegar, cap the other end and stand it in the corner for a day or two.
Then empty it, flush it out and you're good to go.

I actually ended up taping a steel wool pad to the end of a long wooden dowel and scrubbed away. Worked really good.

That's a great idea..!

Recent post about evaporust and fuel fillers resulted in a yellow film on the filler that did not want to come off. Something about old lead from lead fuels??? I soaked a sender in evaporust and got some of the same yellow.
