fuel gauge

does anybody know how you test to see what ohms you need for a fuel gauge? do you just check with a ohms meter to ge within the range?

The range for Chrysler is about 9 to 73 ohms. 9 ohms when the float is up or full. Aftermarket gauges are available for the range give or take a couple of ohms. To try to figure out the calibration of some unknown gauge would be tougher.
