Since the crate is still in such good shape, I'm guessing it wasn't shipped via UPS...

lmao, to them, that's close enough.Fedex wouldn't get it to you. Last delivery I had to look at the proof of delivery pic to figure out which neighbor had my package. The photo had a little white fence in front of a basement door. Above the door was 1055, my house is 242.

Had that issue with an Amazon driver.Fedex wouldn't get it to you. Last delivery I had to look at the proof of delivery pic to figure out which neighbor had my package. The photo had a little white fence in front of a basement door. Above the door was 1055, my house is 242.
About 45 years ago, when I was flying all over the world in C-130s, I actually went to a Bumfuck Africa type place. It was a real **** hole. In that part of the world, a bathroom was a 3 x 3 tile square that slanted down to the center where there was a round hole. You squatted over it and took a dump or whatever. Then you used the hose to rinse everything down into the hole. If you had to spend the night, you relied on either a US consulate, if there was one, or the US Air Force paid transportation representative to tell you where it was safe to eat and sleep. Not a very nice place.ESPECIALLY if it's a local charity. Like "Help little Jimmy get a new butthole" or whatever. You'll never see me participate in a "Feed the hungry children in Bumfuck Africa". Ain't happenin.
We had a similar experience with Amazon, wife had ordered something, and she watched the delivery tracking show that it was out for delivery, then delivered successfully. Only problem was that it was not delivered to our house. She contacted the carrier and told them that the item was not received. They insisted that it was delivered for 2 days, then it was suddenly back to "in transit" status for another day, finally arriving, completely destroyed.Had that issue with an Amazon driver.
Saw him pull up and wondered what the wife had bought now?
Driver hands me the package, says "Here ya go" and turns to walk away...
I look at the package and shout to him "This isn't mine. Wrong address."
He looks at his handheld and says "GPS says it is".
I hold the package up to the house address and ask him "Do these look the same? You're not even on the right side of town. Either the GPS is wrong, or you don't know how to use it."
"GPS says it is. Guess you'll have to take it to the right address."
"I'm not getting paid to do your job for you." I take pictures of the van number & license plate, and the delivery driver. I then take pictures of the package address label and my house number.
"Whattaya doing?'
"I'm sending this to your supervisor and whoever else will listen."
"Are you refusing delivery?"
"No, I'm telling you you're at the wrong house."
He takes the package back and literally throws it into the back of the truck.
Seriously, what's with some of these people?
That's what really chaps my butt about churches. They all do foreign mission work like it's their opportunity to stand on a pedestal and shout "LOOK WHAT WE DID!" The problem is "wherever" they've chosen to serve was a shithole before and will be a shithole after and always, while people in their own communities are suffering.About 45 years ago, when I was flying all over the world in C-130s, I actually went to a Bumfuck Africa type place. I 100% agree with you here, Rob.That's what really chaps my butt about churches. They all do foreign mission work like it's their opportunity to stand on a pedestal and shout "LOOK WHAT WE DID!" That's what I love about our little country church. Everyone's a sinner and we all know it. No one acts like they're not. None of us is perfect, but we strive to be better.I 100% agree with you here, Rob.
And I don't even go to church precisely because of this and all of the ''Jack'' Christians that go there...
I dislike the hypocrisy and judgemental attitude that I have found in so many different churches.I 100% agree with you here, Rob.

Sounds like the same double standard our church had.I dislike the hypocrisy and judgemental attitude that I have found in so many different churches.
My wife and I were attending this one church and had been for some time. We were contributing to the collection plate regularly and we enjoyed the messages from the pastor. Until one day when he was on a rant about people who were living together but not married. Well, what the hell business is that of anyone else?
We were never asked about our marital status whenever we made our donation to the collection!
Now suddenly we were told that he would refuse to perform any wedding ceremony for anyone who was living together but unmarried, unless the couple lived apart for a minimum of 6 months, and it had to be verified!
That was the very last time I was in any church. I don't need to go to any specific place to make my own peace with my God, nor will I ever allow any person to judge me for my own life decisions.
