I have a 74 Duster. I'm having difficulty getting the round wiring harness connector off the back of the gauge cluster. Is there a trick to remove this? I don't want to break anything.

Also, I want to change the bulb in the steering column gear selector. The screws on the back of it won't budge. Again, I don't want to break anything.

IIRC.... Should be a lever-like retaining clip with a tooth holding it on. Feel for it and press it down really hard. It might release easier if you push the connector in a bit first.

Nope, no lever or other device on the harness plug...that is only on the speedo cable.
To remove that plug, take two small screwdrivers and GENTLY pry it up off the circuit board.
Go slow and work evenly side to side. Those pins deform and break very easily.
I do have circuit boards available if you do end up needing one
