So I'm seeing all over the net where Glen Ray is maybe closing because Ray is retiring. Does anyone know something concrete?

People get old, get tired of working, and just get tired of modern business/people.
If he's retiring, good for him. I wish him a happy retirement.

Sounds like he has had a good run and must have had a good business going, I don't know this co/person, but I congratulate him for hanging in there. And obviously doing good by his customers.

and just get tired of modern business/people.
Funny, i never liked people much, but i never thought about what you just said.....just soldiered on!!
These days, im always asking myself, "am i getting old" or is just the way things are now that's pissing me off??? Im pretty sure, it's both.

He has two interested in buying the business. Let's see where that goes. Bob is finishing all orders in progress, but not taking in anymore at this time.

I was always told he is the best for restoring rads. I waited to long. Now il never have one of his restored pieces. I wish him the best.

Yes, he’s retiring, he’s trying to find a buyer, he’s got two people interested.

He does absolutely phenomenal work. You pay for it but where else are you gonna go to get the right one?

Even better is how Bob treats his customers. He did mine for my 71 Demon 340 a little over a year ago. Sent me the new rad and told me to call him in a few weeks for payment. He wanted to make sure the product met my expectations before he got paid. I was like...WOW!! I know of no other place where I'll ever get service like that.

I was lucky enuf a member up here mentioned a gentleman that's 90 min away. I think his name is Don. Redid my 69 340 rad, added another row(non ac rad) and it was exemplary. Cost me $600 Canuck bucks. He has to be in his mid 80's now.

If you’re looking for a radiator shop, my family has one in Ocala. It’s called Marion radiator. I’ve been business for 50 years.

In our town the radiator shop closed The exhaust major muffler shop closed The body shop supply co closed The independent parts house closed The towing company closed. Fabrication shop closed The bowling alley closed The auto and truck frame shop closed I guess I grew up in the right time when everything was booming Not anymore. So Sad to see things change so much. Oh the dragstrip is open on Sunday only but no bleachers anymore

You posted this on a Monday but didn't just call and ask?

I thought someone here might actually know the guy. It's a little more classy than callin him up and sayin "Hey I heard you're on the way out......."
Lol ok, fair enough. Just seemed odd, you're not one for the rumor mill

No. I'm not. Moreover, I don't particularly like stickin my nose in somebody's business. I didn't wanna call the guy based on a rumor.

I respect that. I'm hoping that they can continue. They've been a godsend to a lot of people
I do too! It'll be one less high end radiator shop gone and there's not enough of them already.

It is getting harder and harder to find a radiator shop. We used to have a few in Topeka, but no more.
