I know that this has been discussed before, but would somebody post on how to wire a gm control module to a mopar distributor. I looked for it but couldn't find it. Thanks everyone
Thanks. With this set up, I can run a wider plug gap?View attachment 1715951738
There's a projection on the bottom, you must either drill a clearance hole or cut off the projection. Heat transfer compound "is recommended" but I don't use it. Mount it on some sort of small heat sink. Even a flat scrap of aluminum. Pay attention to the polarity of the pickup coil--it will screw up "rotor phasing" if you reverse the pickup, and cause rough running and crossfire, etc.
Bypass the ballast resistor so the coil and HEI get full battery voltage

Everything you need to know is right here. The bracket he sells works great too.
14 pages of repetitive discussion. Thats what I don’t like about the “on site” search function. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Go to google and type in site:forabodiesonly.com gm control module. You will get the discussions separated into their own volumes instead of all of the discussions by individual responses.14 pages of GM module information. Just sayin. Do you need one for the Mopar coil that was designed to run at 8-10 ballast controlled volts? GM coil not being used? You do not need a ballast with an HEI module
