Ha, the glove box will outlast the car...
I need to fab one myself, for the 52. I was thinkin thin aluminum held with pop rivets.
 
I can carry a lot of paper money in there, no one is going to break in (from the back anyway).

Looks great!
Suggestion: Line the inside with felt board, available at any craft store. Its about 2/32nd thick, very durable and, it will give you a stock look with the aluminum strength. Also, no rattles and everything put in there won't slide around making noise.
 

I'm with pishta on this one I would have to coat it in rubber on the inside the rattling might drive me crazy, and we wouldn't want that now would we:lol:
 
In my B Body we made the same thing. I bolted the radio inside, it doesn't move around. For the little stuff, a little cushioning sounds like a good idea. Felt?
