I recently purchased some '69 Dart tail light lens from Classic Industries. The order was placed over the phone and I drove down to Huntington Beach the next day to pick them up. I was pleasantly surprised by what happened when the order was pulled from inventory and brought to the sales counter.
Instead of just calling me to the counter and handing me the box they were in, I watched the counter guy open both boxes and closely inspect them. He then disappeared back to their warehouse area for about ten minutes. When he finally returned he called me back to the counter and opened the boxes on a new set of lenses he'd brought with him. I asked if there was a problem with the first set and he showed me some tiny spider web cracks that were in the flanges of the lens around the screw holes. The new set he went back and personally got were primo.
Needless to say, the quality control exhibited by the counter sales guy blew me away. That's not something you're likely to find in many places in today's culture.
Classic Industries is going to get a lot of positive word-of-mouth advertising from me - and the 20% discount I got because of an email sale notice I received didn't hurt either.
I highly recommend them as a source for parts for your Mopar project.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience with a vender. I need to pick up the bulb housings
for mine. Got the lenses and bezels when they were on sale from p&g without incedent. Hope the fit as nice as they look.

They were great to deal with for my 73 Satellite seat upholstery.

Shipping was really fast.

I just wish the truck freight shipping for the 67 wagon windshield (which I can't find anywhere else) wasn't 1.5 times the cost of the glass!!

I've dealt with Classic Industries before, and I'm happy to say that they did an excellent job in servicing my account, and offered a very good product. I'd have no reservations, whatsoever, of doing business with them again.

That said, isn't it a sad state of affairs when we have to announce the praise of a company that does what they are supposed to do? The reality is, they just did their jobs, but we've gotten so used to poor customer service, that when a company simply does what they are supposed to do, we get overly excited.

Not trying to diminish the OP, far from it. I'm old enough to remember what true "customer service" is, or what it should be. I was very pleased with the service I received from this vender when I dealt with them, it was outstanding when compared to most of today's retail outlets. My comment is that this is the kind of customer service that was standard, 40 years ago.

Why we, as consumers, accept less, is a mystery, yet it's also a reality.

Remember, it's OUR money that THEY want, and they are selling their product at a profit. We have a right to expect to be treated as a customer (the people who keep them in business). We should expect all venders to emulate the type of customer service Classic Industries offers.

I'm glad to see that my experience with them was not a fluke, and that there still are business out there who know, understand, and offer good customer service. Kudos to Classic Industries.

Maybe it has something to do with modern vendors selling crap made in China. They know that it is cheap crap, and are trying to get our money. Why would they want to inspect it for quality, when they know that it isn't there....

Remember back in the 70's when "Madi in USA" meant a quality product. Now you have trouble finding anything made in USA. (no offense to the Canadians).

When my son first bought his 71 Valiant, we put an alternator on it from O'reilly's. After he installed it, it didn't work. We returned it and asked them to check it. It failed. The guy went and got another one brand new in the box. We asked him to test it first. It failed. He didn't have another one, so he sent us to another local O'reilly's store.

The guy there took a new one and tested it, and it failed. Got one more new one, and it failed also.... WTF??? Four brand new rebuild alternators failed the load test right out of the box...

So I knew a local "ma & pa" shop that rebuilds alternators and starters. My first experience with them, was great. They took an alt off the shelf and tested it before giving it to me. It passed the test, but he didn't like the feel of the bearing when he tested it by hand. He opened it up and replaced one side bearing shell and then retested it. It passed the test, but he still didn't like the feel of the bearing, and changed it again. Tested it and it passed, and still didn't like the feel of the bearing. So he replaced both sides of the bearing shell (front and back) and then reload tested it. It passed, and he was finally happy with the feel of the bearing. The time that it took to do this, put him 1/2 hour past closing time, but he didn't complain one bit.

So, I took my son there to get an alternator. They gave us one that worked after testing it for us before selling it to us. For only $5 more than O'reilly's, I would rather buy one from the "ma & pa" shop, than keep taking chances with the cheap Mexico rebuild ones at the major chain part stores.

We put that alternator on, and it worked fine...

20% discount? I have never received one of those from them. Do you order frequently? I probably have not averaged more than two or three hundred dollars in the past couple of years.

About once a quarter they have a 20% (or sometimes only 15%) off "sale".
