Grounding question

I have a 72 360 Duster with Sniper2 efi, hyper spark ignition, electric fuel pump and vintage air AC.

I'm struggling with the charging system, it runs around 12v driving at hwy speed. I don't measure
12.5-13.5 at the battery or the alternator when running. I measured the positive side of the voltage regulator grounded to the body at 12v and it should be around 14.

I've had the battery, alternator and regulator checked and was told everything was good.

I also added an engine ground wire since I couldn't find one.

Question, can I use the same engine bolt for the battery and frame ground?

Any suggestions on the voltage problem would be greatly appreciated.

What alternator. What you list is a tall order for the stock unit. I see CVF, are you pullies under driven?

I have a Sniper 1 and have the engine and frame grounded to the same engine bolt. I put 14v out at Idle but with a Denso 95A alternator. Not sure if its right, maybe someone with an EE will explain.
 
I haven't measured the puppies but it's probably 2 or 2.5:1. O have the idle rpm set at 850.

I don't have the specs for the alternator but I'm assuming it's 60 amp.

I'll try to look for ID info so I can look for specs.
 
Problem may be related to the wiring strategy.
The factory strategy is to use the battery primarily for starting.
With EFI and electric fuel pump, the battery has a lot more work to do during start.
Equally important, none of the wiring was intended to handle additional loads while the engine is running.
I'd suggest looking up the loads for the new equipment, and then coming up with some sort of direct circuits from an auxilery fusebox.
It may be neccessary to connect to the battery rather than the alternator. (Depends if the electronics are noise sensitive).
If so, then a more direct wire from the alternator to the battery will be needed. With some extra work you can keep the ammeter. That might require relays.

Discussed this before but I don't know what the guy did in the end.
