I am just screwed up enough that I have handicap parking. I can walk the length of something like Home Depot and back and I am about done. And hurt. Anyhow I pulled up to this thrift store in a local mall has a HC spot with the blue diagonal safety zone next to it, and I'm about to get out when this jerk in a USPS van backs in there on the blue hash marks so he can collect the mail out of the box!!! I told him to move is &&&*&^^$$ truck outta there and he goes off on this "I'm doin my job collecting mail" MOVE THAT POS OUT OF THAT HANDICAP SPOT says I!! Then he gets mad and charges over to a nearby parking place about 30 ft away slams on the brakes and leaves the thing sitting there half out in the lane!!!

Reading these forum pages, it seems lotsa members have had some sort of confrontation with drivers for the USPS, FEDEX, UPS, AMAZON.
Doesn't seem to matter who's name might be on the truck.
Dealing with a dip S*#T that's behind the wheel.

I'm to the point that I ignore stupidity unless it directly affects me. There are too many unstable people running around these days, unless you have your hand on your firearm it could be too late to get your last word in.
I really don't think a safety zone is worth getting into a shootout over.

I've had a real series of problems with our local USPS in the last year - poor service, snotty remarks, packages left on top of my mailbox on a busy rural road, my mail misdelivered to others, and neighbor's mail in my box. I asked to talk to the postmaster - no postmaster, one of 15 vacant position in a rural Post Office that serves a community of 10,000. We get packages delivered after 9pm, as they try to catch up. That delivery truck was often driver by, you guessed it, the postmaster that recently quit.

They need to be reminded they have to follow the laws too. Call a cop. We have a sub that parks right in front of a stop sign blocking a fire hydrant. I talked to a cop and he said "give us a call next time".
