... after nearly 30 hours in airports and planes. We checked out of the Hong Kong Hyatt at noon Saturday and caught the train to the Hong Kong airport. Our flight to Taipai did not leave until 5:25pm. Once we got to Taipei around 7:00pm, we found out our connecting flight to LAX had been delayed an hour. So we were stuck until 12:55am Sunday. The flight to LAX was about 11 hours, but since it is going west to east you cross the International Date Line and gain a day. So we actually landed at 6:30pm on Saturday again. Then we had another 6 hour layover at LAX. The final flight home took off at 1:10am from LAX and landed at 6:05am at IAH. The total time different from Hong Kong to Houston is 14 hours. I haven't slept but a few hours, so my brain is pretty scrambled right now. But it sure does feel good to be home! :salut:
