I keep getting advertisements from Temu popping up on my computer and in emails. I have gone to their website and it looks like they have some interesting stuff. The prices are ridiculously cheap. I realize you get what you pay for, but kind of like buying at Harbor freight, for a tool you only use once in a while. It might be worth it. I was just wondering if anybody has purchased stuff from them.

I've bought a spray gun from AliExpress but nothing Temu. I figure most of the stuff you buy from Harbor Freight (or Princess Auto in Canada) comes from the same factories in China except its marked up 100 or 200%. I look at it as a gamble....see how many people have purchased the item.

My grand daughter bought some stuff from Temu. She wasn't very impressed. It took forever to get here from China and what she got was very cheaply made.

I've bought a few things from there. A set of steps that slide in a 2"reciever/hitch, and a few tools. Steps great, tools-so-so. Other things that ship from China takes extra 2 weeks+. If clothing, order 1 size bigger then they recommend. I would guess, about 1/4 of things are shipped from here in the states. Items usually small compared to what your thinking your getting. Do your due diligence before ordering, read descriptions thoroughly!

I will say I've purchased some items on ebay from China. Mostly some BS womens' jewelry for Kitty. She loves cheap stuff. lol But so far, everything has been good quality and she's been happy with it.

Most of it's the same crap you buy everywhere else that's from China. They just cut out the middleman it's amazing how much they're marking up this junk. Don't expect to get a Pendleton quality shirt for $6.99 but if you spend $9 for a piece of clothing you'll get the same thing at Walmart for $16, just an example. I bought a set of leather shoes I think I paid $26 definitely a good deal. I would stay away from their very inexpensive stuff.

That's about what I paid for mine it was plenty good for measuring bore taper.

They have been rumored to sell products that don't quite match the description....

DON'T!!! My wife ordered some little trinkets, they kept sending ****, Like 600.00 worth of **** she didn't order. They won't give you a return address and don't answer any phones. She tried to stop it on her credit card they got around it and she was stuck with the bill. DON'T, DON'T!!!

The more successful these cheap Chinese websites are at selling their garbage, the more they will make. Look around and you'll see this junk is everywhere, and becoming more and more ubiquitous every day. Before we know it, quality products will be a thing of the past and we won't even have a choice but to buy cheap ****.

Stop supporting the companies that make throwaway products and continue to support the companies that make quality products made with pride, and made to last.

Amen! But it may too late, given all of the cheap Chinesium parts sitting on the shelves at O'Reilly's, Auto Zone, Advance, et al.

And it's not just auto parts, as I'm sure you aware, but this cheap crap is flowing into damn near everything now. For instance, I quote repairs on/for commercial HVAC units (rooftops, air handlers, boilers, etc), and it's getting harder and harder to find "good" parts (motors, pumps, starters, relays, contactors....you name it). Common "name brand" U.S. manufacturers, manufacturers that one would think would use quality U.S. parts (Carrier, Lennox, Trane, etc), have all gone to using "off-shore" components, and the replacement parts are just as crappy.

In my opinion it all boils down to the desire for "low cost", and it seems to me we're in a race to the bottom. Which isn't good considering we've lost a lot of our manufacturing base....

But this is starting to lead into an N&P-like rant, and I don't wanna go there, so....

Good Luck to all of us!
