Have car apart please help

I'm replacing the fuel tank filler gasket and I didnt see where the vent tube ends up. Does it just go through the trunk floor and hang around there underneath? I got the new gasket in and just awaiting someone with knowledge on this so I can proceed.

Any info would be terrific...

On my 67, goes through the trunk floor seal and into a dead end hole in the frame
