Hey guys got a 68 notchback Barracuda and getting ready to start installing the headliner.
After gathering all my old parts back up, (car got painted and took forever!)
I have dome light, visors, visor holder and seat belt extension belt holder.
My question is there is 2 plastic "anchors " that are white in color and pretty small, they are rectangle shape in backseat that anchor the headliner. I only have 1, does anyone know where I can purchase these?

Thanks all

aren't you describing the white plastic piece that the screw holding the metal piece above the rear side panels up to the rear side windows screws into?

possibly, I'm not sure. I tore this car apart 6 years ago. I do know the old headliner was cutout for these white plastic pieces. I'll try and get a picture of it today.

Take the time to Dynamat and double-foil-sided jute mat under the headliner while you have it apart.

Bulkpak's of Dynamat Extreme with free shipping are usually always on sale somewhere. The double-foil-sided jute pading seems to be the best price at Speedway motors.

I use the aluminum duct tape with the peel of wax paper to seal any seams and along the edges.

My '70 hard top has this treatment from the bottom of the front windshield to the rear package tray, both sides and under the headliner. It sound like you sitting in a vault, and is quieter inside than a Bentley. Best part is you can't see any of it.

This has already been done, I have also prepped my rearview mirror with backup camera wires and domelight wires. I'm just worried this headliner will not turn out the way I want it too.
Pretty excited about backup camera tho

Here's some pics of what I'm talking about.
There's one on other side as well.
Thanks all

that is what that piece is - the upper panel on each side fits down snug to the window where the "cat whiskers" are and fits over the pinch weld at the door jamb so that it fits down and then back. The final step is a screw through the panel that is hidden by the back seat. The plastic piece holds the panel in the correct location and is all that holds the panel in place. It has nothing to do with holding the headliner, except that the headliner has to be cut to fit over it. I don't have a car apart at this point to provide pics, but perhaps someone here can do that. Pic of that upper panel and perhaps screwed in place

Thank you for quick response str12-340.
Next question is where can I get one? Classic industries?

not aware of a repop source - post an ad here... I bet folks have some squirreled away or in a junk car out back. You have a good picture and that's often half the battle. What I can't figure out is the name for that metal interior panel.
