Hellcat down

-
Car doesn't look totaled to me. There have been a lot worse fixed, and I would think a high buck car like that would get lots of scrutiny before being written off. The Car Fax report on it will be longer than cold weather, but I think it's fixable.

If the engine block is cracked they will write it off.

Some body shop will buy of the insurance company cheap. Buy a V6 Challenger, a little nip and tuck here and there, some powder and paint and this Hellcat will survive.

Might be, but I, personally, wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole after that repair. I don't care how good a job was done with it, either.

I'm with you on that,....that car will never, ever be 100% right...no matter how much technology and make-up you put on it...

My great grandad was a travling salesman, bought a new car every year,....if one ever got wrecked he would get it fixed and drive straight from the body shop to the dealership for a new one. Said he put on way too many miles to mess around....

Let's see if anyone is going to "beat his record"....

One hour is pretty quick to total a brand new car.....

I don't know about that lol, Bought a brand new Ferd van in 2004 and it burned to the ground on the way home with less than 6 miles on it and the courtesy full tank of gas. I worked at the Ford bodyshop and someone wrote "another satisfied customer" in the smoke on the side of it. The upper management was ecstatic about it being in the front of the building and all. Never once anyone asked if I was ok.

looks like panic braking played a part. people dont realize that under very hard braking you lose 90% of your steering once the wheels break loose.

the sad fact is they DO offer training. anyone who buys an SRT vehicle gets a free pass to attend a full day track training course
for the rest of us you have to pay $699 to attend.

What the Hell, rebuild it. Just needs a front clip! LOL

You should have to take a hot rod driving class , before you jump into a 707hp car. Heck here in ohio when it snows ,i get a kick out of people freaking out when they go sideways, Heck im more comfortable when im sideways. lol

I can see it now: a Hellcat simulator in the showroom. If you cant pass the driving test you can't buy one. The flip side, the more that are crashed, the more new ones are sold. lol tmm

If the drivetrain is salvageable, I have an old car sitting in my garage that would be a good home for it. :-k

Hijacked in two pages. Guess I'll just have to check the other five threads to get updates on this kitty road kill.

Nice job, and I wish you all the best with it, but, I still say, "No thanks". I will not by a car that has been heavily damaged, and rebuilt. It's just not what I'm will to spend money on.
