It's been awhile since I've been on and sorta been out of the game.
I still have my 72 Duster with the 360 and want to get back to working on it because for while I was ok with it but there is a few huge improvements I want to do to it so I can drive her for awhile until I get the resources to do a complete resto on it.Eventually I'm going to gut it and put it on a rotisserie and have it completely stripped and sandblasted.(someday)
But what I really would love to do is get rid of the weak rear end that came with it and ditch the front drum brakes for disc brakes and go with the larger wheel bolt pattern.
But I don't really know where to start.I've been looking everywhere for maybe a parts car that has everything I need to swap them in but no luck.But I'm willing just to buy everything seperately if need be.I just need to know what all I need,will a power brake booster bolt right in,will I need to swap the driveshaft,what mods would I have to do.Etc.
I do drive it once in awhile but the drum brakes worry me.It stops,but I want it to have better braking and I would love to ditch the factory rear end.

Regarding the rearend, since you have a Duster, and A body rears are somewhat expensive you can use a B body rear, 8 3/4 if you can find one. It's a real easy swap, move the perches in 1/2 inch on each side, bolt it in. An 8 1/4 rear would be OK as well, depending on what level you intend to build to in the future.

I put an 8 3/4 B body rear in my Dart Sport and it fit great, I took my time and shopped around until I had all of the pieces. I went through it, installed new 3.55's, a used clutch suregrip, all new bearings and seals for a shade over 600 bucks.

You will need to run a deeper backspace wheel if you run wider wheels ( 5 1/2 in BS on mine 10 inch wide wheel), I did for the first year run factory Rallye wheels and no problems.
