Hello at all!

My name is Bodo, I´m 49 years old and live in Hamburg / Germany, just nearby the famous Reeperbahn (redlight-quarter...).

In the 70th, when I was a little boy, a lot of the whoremasters drove Mopars, and I decided: One day I´ll have one, too...

Now, 40 years later, my dream came true: Since last year I own a 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger!

It´s in a bad condition, but I have a lot of friends that will help me. At this moment it stands in Poland, where some guys will depart it, and fix all rust and after this it will be painted.

Just a vid...

So, I hope to find a lot of enthusiastics,

Sincerely

Bodo

P.S.: I forgot - of course I drove a lot of cars before. But no american... I´m normally driving japanese, so I own a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion (in US Dodge Conquest), a 1982 Mitsubishi Sapporo (in US Dodge Challenger), a 1983 Mitsubishi Colt Turbo (in US Dodge Colt) and two 1987 Mitsubishi Pajero (In US Dodge raider)

Welcome!!!!

While stationed in Germany (2001-2002) I met ALOT of Mopar Guys over there!!!

There was a 69' Super Bee, a 68 Road Runner, and a 70 Challenger that I remember specifically.

In 2001, Bitburg held its 1st annual drag races and these Mopar Guys came in from around the area.....the Challenger Guy had a GPS system in his car and showed that he tipped 185mph in it on the Autobahn on the way there!!!....it had 2.94 gears and still ran low 13's at 113 or so.

Good Times.
Again welcome to FABO.

Thx @ all...

Yes, our "Autobahn" is big fun...

At a lot of them there is still no sped-limit. We have in our company a Nissan GTR as business-car, and at night at an empty road 200mp/h is without problems possible...

I'm in for the beer, my favorite import is paulaner salvator-- good stuff--- some day I hope to return to Germany & check out Mannheim & Heildleberg area.

Welcome-- Lawrence

Welcome to FABO Bodo!! My mother-in-law is German and we still have family near you. Someday we will come over for a visit, hopefully during Oktoberfest!

Is that your car in the video? Looks nice!!

Yes, it's mine...
Please don't misunderstand - but for german standarts the quality is awfully poor. I have to renew quite everything. Lokal mopar-specialists told me it's normal. An US-car is no Mercedes, of course. But after restoration it will be in perfect shape.
Some things I can't understand: the car has been painted in the 90th, but why did they use tons of filler-paste? A lot of dents havn't been renewed, only filled up and painted. Wiring is positioned as if a drunk child has done this. It looked good, but while departing more and more botch was visible...
Here the cars have to be inspected every two years by a federal engeneer - they would let fail it and for normal there was no chance bringing it back on the roads...

Welcome to FABO Bodo! Post some images of your Swinger when you get it home.

Have personalhand experience with those Stations, worked over.A little more boost works wonders.Welcome to Molar heaven! We do have a turbo/forced induction forum,BTW.

Hi Bodo,

welcome to fabo. Since there´s a mitsu dealer here where i live i know some of the older stuff, he raced a first gen lancer turbo rally car in the eighties. Has still a very good first gen colt at his place.....tried to buy it, but he will not let it go....

Have fun with your mopar!

Michael
