Hello folks,
I am new to this forum. Looks like a ton of good info around here. Thanks for having me. So, I have this 68 Barracuda convertible. Motor for the top is super slow, so slow in fact it won't lift the top without assistance from me, while the kid holds the toggle. So, I have no shop manual yet, can anyone assist with a pdf, or other resource on the details of this motor, fluids, access etc.? Thanks all. Will catch up to ya soon.

If you pull the back seat you can access the motor and pump. Unplug it and hook up a wire from the positive of the battery to either contact on the connector. One is up and the other is down. If it operates at normal speed then you just have a wiring problem. It could be the switch or one of the connections. If the top pulses going up you are low on fluid. If you hear squeaking from the hinges try lubing every joint you can find. Does it come down OK?
