got a game plan for installing a lokar kick down cable. Only problem is that what’s left of the original linkage is connected to the transmission lever with some kind of stud. Anyone ran into this? How did you remove it? Thanks will be dropping the pan to inspect the transmission this weekend.
No reverse drive still present.

moving in tandem is correct if both are moving towards the firewall, when the throttle is opened. The Lokar will have to mimic that action.
As for no reverse; if the trans has all forward gears, then, most likely the Low/Reverse band is out of adjustment or it has failed. DO NOT USE MANUAL LOW until this is resolved. Continued usage will just destroy the drum. and of course, the same goes for using reverse.
And if the KD is not installed, to prevent destroying the rest of the trans, wire the throttle-pressure lever, down at the trans, all the way to the back. How you do that is not important.

Thanks for the warning! I’m worried the transmission is toast at this point. Will be inspecting further this week if weather permits it.
