Help..How do you remove the glove box latch from the glove box door?

Car is a 70 Swinger 340 4-speed thanx..

That "How To" tutorial mentioned above is correct in every sense. Nonetheless, a klutz like me could not spring that latch and had to hand it over to the local locksmith, who took care of it for me in short order.
