Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I would look REAL CLOSE at the lower control arm mounting pin where it goes into the k frame. Common to crack around stud hole.

Thanks I'll have a really good look around that area.
Reason why I hadn't set toe yet is that I haven't gotten around to it.. LOL. I have just finished putting the hotchkiss leaf springs in and the new rear shocks. I've also installed the new set of tires and rims and now I need to get a nice dry day (it has been raining here, and we might get snow flurries soon) to put it on a level surface and do another good check of everything. I have the new steering wheel, tie rods and idler coming on wednesday so I hope I can get it in for a proper alignment before winter comes, fingers crossed
