Help! my mouse button won't scroll anymore

I was browsing around the net, and my mouse button scrolling stopped, the buttons work, but the button does not scroll.

I checked the mouse settings in control panel and everything looks ok.

It happens in both internet and excel.


How do I get my mouse button to scroll again???

Buy a new mouse.
 
It is totally possible that it is the mouse.
The Up/Down arrows on the keyboard still scroll, right.
(Then it's not Windows) :)
 
Ok, weird....

If I click the center button, then move my mouse the screen scrolls.

When I click the center mouse button again, it doesn't scroll with the mouse or the button....

It has to be a hidden setting somewhere, because the mouse button does "register" when I click it on and off.... :banghead:
 
I just got done installing Autodesk Inventor 2015 on my computer. It's a second level 3D CAD software.

As with AutoCAD, I need the center mouse button to zoom and scroll in the drawing....
 
I gotta go do some running around... (pay some bills....) :banghead:


I'll worry about it when I get back.... :???:
 
Center click is normally scroll lock, and would make the page move when the mouse is moved.
 
I just got it back.

I tried playing with the scroll lock button, nothing...

Then try clicking the center mouse button a couple of times and it scrolls....
