I know this is an Australian engine, but does anybody in the US service or sell these engines for use in our cars? I have done a little research. I don’t find much. Everything I find says Australian only. I used to talk to a guy online in California about 30 years ago that impirted cars to California from Australia. He also imported cars from the United States to Australia. I do not remember his name. He had an orange Australian charger with the 265 hemi. It was a great looking car. He is also the same guy that imported the 70s super bird left-hand drive that was converted back in the 70s to California from Australia, to the man who bought it there who now lives in Michigan. I have actually seen that car. That was close to 20 years ago. The early part of 2006 if I’m not mistaken. That seems like a long time ago. Does anyone know about this or Have any interest in these kinds of cars or this engine? I’m really only curious about it. It would probably be way out of my price range. Something that I wouldn’t know anything about. I just think it’s interesting and it might make a good topic to talk about it for a while. What do y’all think?

The guy I bought my 70 Valiant VG ute from in Garden Grove, CA had a couple of 265's complete laying around. Of course this was 15 years ago and I haven't heard anything from him in at least 10 years. He is an importer from Australia. I still have his number. It has a 245 hemi in it.

Although Chrys advertised the engine as a Hemi to capitalise on the Hemi name, the chamber was actually a pent roof design.
I’ve been looking at some YouTube videos. Seems like it was a great design. A shame they quit making it. Can you buy parts for them over-the-counter? I knew the hemi thing was not real. Just a Marketing gimmick. With three carburators, they really look cool. Of course the three carburetor set up on the slant looks pretty good too. The thing they have over the slant is cubic inches.

Yeah it would be cool if we could get the 265 in our pick up trucks.

I knew I’d get that response from you
Seriously, though. A slant in a dually truck with 4.88 gears felt like a powerhouse when compared to the GM offering. A C30 with a 250, SM420, and 6 something:1 HO axle was painfully slow in comparison to a D300 with a slant and NP 420.
