With the setup I have, which is the better distributor to go with, Mechanical advance or Vaccumn advance? This is a street car that might see the track once a year.

Jack, do yourself a faveor and get the MSD mech advance dist. It's so easy to change your advance curve it's not even funny. They give you four different cams and springs to change initial and rate of advance. I have one and love it. I can change anything I want and not take it off the car. All the springs and cams are on the top under the rotor. It's sweet.

That's the one (MSD 8534) I've got written down on my things to get sheet.
This whole project is starting to come together. My garage is just about finished, My parts hunt is almost over as far as the drive train goes and the wife is still talking to me. Life is good!
I moved the engine into the garage last night. The car goes in very soon and I finally get to work on it.
