High zinc oil

Ok for the CT blook or others that MIGHT want to purchase via telephone or CT guys that can drive there like myself they didn't have the drums of 20w 50 in stock but sell it by the case.

$54 bucks plus tax. In reality that is ONLY about a $1.00 more than a regular quart of conventional dino of Pennzoil or Castrol. Actual quite a bit cheaper than Harley Davidson oil. Since the 'quality' is better looks like I will run it in my CJ also since I'm all about off-road with leaded fuel in my scoot why not non-complying emission oil in my Jeep? I do believe Al Gore and the likings are nut bags! :-D

So thanks for the info on high zinc oil and I'm going to pick up a couple cases tomorrow. I'll inquire about the 55 gallon option as the price should be cheaper and I have the ability here at my shop to handle it. I can see where this could be an issue with a home garage set-up.

As stated, I am looking for Brad Penn racing oil

Steve, have you contacted Brad Penn directly to see who is the rep in the region? Last resort: Hubbards carries BP (I bought a couple of cases). Perhaps you can see if they can get it by the barrel and swing a deal with them.

Would Be the way to go buy by the drum. Although I didn't get a price I did get all the necessary documents to set up an account PLUS sales tax resell (:thefinge:) form. Although this was a big wholesaler they don't stock 55 gallon drums and has to be ordered.

Two cases with tax (:angry3:) came to $119 and change. I have to figure the cost per quart should drop to about $3 bucks.

Since the motor is sitting on the stand I'll be dumping 4 quarts in my HD tomorrow. I'm ALL about buying USA products also since I'm in and own a manufacturing business. The more I can support this country the happier I am. You all should do the same!

I really hate going to auto parts stores and buying China made parts and ALWAYS ask if there is alternative parts. Sometimes it's unavoidable but NOT always. You can get Canadian reman parts and Timken bearings. Napa sells a lot of Chinese reman parts. I sent a body there once to get me wheel bearings and he came back with Chinese. I sent them back and bought Timken bearings.

Do what you can

What about the new Castrol 20/50 Syntec for "Classic Cars" Got an email from Castrol saying it is 1200 ppm ZZDP. Not for break in but for running after break in? Is 1200 ppm enough?
