I know the header issues are all over here ad naseum. I am having issues with being able to get my manual steering box to align with the k frame holes due to interference with tube 1 and 5? I believe it is. Can anyone give me some advice with this issue without me having to go spend more money that was not budgeted for?

Not trying to be a whiner but this car is driving over the edge without ever being able to drive it!

gotta make sure the engine is in the proper position. if it is then its just the garbage headers that don't fit. whip out the hammer and make them fit. :)

Well I already had to do that with the torsion bar. And I went more extreme than a hammer....I cut and reformed tubes. Guess I need to check engine placement. Can you give me any tips there? Otherwise it is hammer time!

We install them on the engine before it goes in the car from the bottom. fit everything using a front frame section. Hookers are never consistent. Anything bigger then 1 5/8 use steel mounts

Oldmanmopar, thank you for this. I thought about that method of engine/trans installation but don't have the necessary items to make that happen. Great insight though. Thanks again!

If you can put the headers on engine on the K frame and install it your headers are garbage.

What header is it to start with?

It's faster to drop the engine through the top, I see no point in removing the K member unless it's being welded up.
and a big block ain't going in from the bottom with headers on it.
I bet these guy's wear white coveralls when installing an engine and K frame assembly.
What header is it to start with?
Does it really matter.

Yes. If he has garbage headers he can assemble it on the K frame and install the whole unit

Yup. GARBAGE. Instead of running your mouth on a forum, you ought to actually TEST this ****.

Not one set of those headers makes power. Not one.

And the TTI’s will make the least amount of power of ALL OF THEM.

I know this because I ******* test this stuff.

So I’ll say it again. If you can’t see the bolt the headers to the engine and fit everything to the K frame and install it, the headers are junk.

As screwed up as you are, I’m not surprised you’re queer for junk.

Even the 4 year old gets her hands dirty. We just got her work boots. She works in the cleaning room with my daughter when her mom is working. She rubs her hands in the grease so she fits in.

Every job that comes in the machine shop gets cleaned. and is bagged or stretch wrapped when it leaves.;

Nobody wears aprons or glove except the vo-tech hires. some go in the way they come out if they are here for unitized front frame work. They are not all clean. The guys do get dirty. But a rare come back from you. The original pics were for different make headers fitment and where they were modified to fit.

For those that actually like to be helpful, I think I found part of my issue. After looking at head design, the Trick Flow heads I have have a much wider profile at the port than stock heads. Would this cause fitment issues around say the steering box?

Yes, I would certainly say so.
