I just got back from my grandmothers house, after celebrating her 101st birthday. :occasion: She is now officially the oldest living resident of our hometown, and will be receiving the Boston Post cane Tuesday. She's quite alert, even though she can't get around as much anymore. Her day was spent surrounded with family, and she just loved the attention. She reminessed about going to art school in Paris, the early years on the farm here in Maine, and later spending the winters in Arizona. She is a wealth of family history and historical knowledge, and it was just a real pleasure spending time with her. I only hope I can function half as good as she can, if I even get close to her age. Tim

101?! That's crazy! My last living grandparent is 71 and she is sharp as a tack and is probably more active than I am

everybody wants to live to be really old. but who cares how old you are if you didnt do anything. its not how old you live to be. its the quality of life in the years you live. just do what YOU enjoy and have as much fun as you can and when your time comes youll be ready to go.
