well, here you go all you Dart lovers out there in FABO land. this may be the best deal on a nice, ready to race and VERY original looking 68 Dart 426 Hemi 4 speed i've ever run across.

if this car runs as nice as it looks, it would be quite a deal. and the seller said $67k was his "asking" price!

old 426 hemi engines are selling for between $25k - $30k right now. and you probably could recreate a 68 Dart in the condition this one is in for $25k. so if you could buy this car for $55k-$60k, it would probably be a deal.

there was a time not too long ago when ANY 60's-70's 426 mopar race car was selling for north of $100k. not anymore. here's a prediction: in a couple of years, you will be able to buy ANY "nice" old mopar muscle car for $30k or LESS... excluding Superbirds, Daytona Chargers and Hemi convertible Cuda's and Challengers.

High quality mostly accurate clones seem to be asking $70k-$80k. That eventually sell.

Just talking about these 2 days ago with an owner and builder of two high quality accurate Hemi clones.

This one white one needs to be in $50K’s to find a buyer. And it would take $25k to make it near the quality of the $75k ones.

This one isn’t very accurate. Sort of a modified version on the race side with a cage and hand fabricated dash.

The more they get this way, the smaller the buying audience.

here’s a higher quality one asking $75K

Juz sayin JIm but the Phakebook link doesn't go anywhere. I don't know how to link phakebook pages either LOL

Another club member had one restored by well known Hemi clone shop that asked $85K and sold in $70K’s

more I look at this white one I see a $20k roller with $20k motor and headers. Might need to be in $40K’s to sell it.

It’s really going to come down to details and quality of work. See a lot of corners cut. I see race stuff that might not appeal to everyone. And $40K race cars are a tough sell.
