How do I mount a license plate on this bumper?

1970 Duster drag car. I've never had a plate on it and would like to put one on. I'm used to the square holes that you put a plastic insert in for the screws.
Is there some small round thing that goes in these holes? Thanks!

Summit says that bracket is for Chevys. I'm guessing it's for cars with gas cap behind license plate...
Auto Metal Direct search for License plate bracket for 70 Duster returns nothing....

The metal bracket attaches to the bumper through the 3 holes in the underside of the plate recess. The plastic inserts go into that bracket.

Sorry, I tried. That's where the internet led me. You're one step ahead though, you know you need a bracket.

Did you look at the pictures? Small round holes. The square inserts are too big.

These are on Amazon and look round. And just because the other ones are square, doesn't mean they won't fit in the holes.

Some 1/4-28 caps screw, washers and nyloc nuts….. Maybe a drill bit. Or if the car was held in a trust, you wouldn’t have to plate it at all…

To install a conventional tag with the factory mount, your bumper needs the bracket that attaches to the bottom of the bumper lip as shown in the following image:

When attached,the bracket looks like the following:

The conventional tag screw openings fit over the plastic inserts in the bracket. The upper screw openings in a tag are not attached to the bumper but can be used with a tag frame.

The inset with two holes at the top center of the tag opening is for the tag light like the one in the following image:

A rubber bumper is used in the upper center hole to prevent the tag from rattling against the bumper face.

But he doesn't NEED the bracket. His bumper has the two corresponding outside holes for the tag on top.

Somebody already drilled the bumper for the two top bolts. See red circles. Get two 1/4 bolts and nuts and BOLT that bad boy on.

Those are great for voltage regulator installs as well. It provides a solid ground compared to a loose sheet metal screw. LOL

I also used them for that, & anything else in engine compartment that used sheet metal screws. Once you have this tool & hardware you start seeing all sorts of uses LOL
