How do you remove paint from Aluminum Parts?

I have a couple of slant six parts, valve cover and intake manifold, that are painted. Looking for the best way to remove paint without damaging aluminum. Any ideas?

And if it has bearings and seals even more tricky. (fan clutch) Valve cover and intake I would sand blast or media blast. (glass bead)

yup... thats the stuff. It has a learning curve, but works well.

Get a gel stripper with Methylene Chloride...Rinses with water...Gloves a must...

Cheap oven cleaner let it sit for an hour and spray it off.

if it's just a little over spray here and there... carb cleaner - I use Scotch bright on textured parts like an intake or water pump.. on smooth areas such as valve covers, you'll find the paint doesn't stick that well anyway - carb cleaner will take it right off - let it soak a moment or two for stubborn areas. Fully painted pieces usually require a more aggressive approach like glass bead.
