How high will gas prices go by Memorial Day? I'll start.

-
i think a more accurate reading would be how much it now for 87oct now and how much do you think it will be...

here in County Phx AZ its right at 4.00 a gallon... no idea on the jump...

Seems after the last big jump in "08",..most money folks seem to think Americans will tolerate around $4.50 a gallon. I would'nt bet the farm on that tho,...I did notice that gas pigs are gettin cheaper to buy on craigslist and ebay,...

Last night I paid $1.71 a litre for 98 RON......thats $6.32(AUD) a US Gal.

Hello, I have a bad feeling gas prices will reach that here in the U.S.A. If it does it would cost me about 300.00 dollars to fill my truck.

Yea, diesel is getting outrageous all over the world except third world countries where they don't have to refine all the sulphur out of it. I noticed the other day when I got fuel that the sign said "May contain up to 10% biodiesel". The politicos need to get a handle on the oil companies and get fuel prices down where the average person cam afford it again.

This article may surprise some of you, I know it surprised me:
http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/energy/story/2011-12-31/united-states-export/52298812/1

If the link doesn't work, the largest export for the U.S. now is... fuel...
If you don't want to spend $6 a gallon, Exxon-Mobil will be happy to ship it to Australia where they can get $6 a gallon for it...

That's not likely to happen. Too many people would be screaming that "the market should dictate", or "less government regulation", or "this smacks of socialism", or... you get the idea.

I could get on a soap box here...

Government=$0.47 per gal.
Big oil = $0.05 per gal.

Americans need to get a handle on their "politicos".

the politician's are just puppets of corporate america, only worried about there own bank accounts and retiring as early as possible. so very out of touch with the american public its pathetic. RANT RANT RANT!!!

$75 per gallon nothing you can do about it except ***** and give up your daily driver gas hog.I really feel sorry for the people that make their living using what ever sort of vechile they need to do their job.

I pull a rig everyday that costs me about 1600.00 a month in gas for the truck and equipment. If gas prices continue to go up at this rate I'll be spending over 2000.00 in gas per month. Work is slowing down by the day, but I'm making it OK. I have invested well for the bad times ahead in Gold and Silver. MMG

Here in Sweden the price right now for a gallon is $8.68. They are talking about $9.00 this summer........!!

its 3.38 here. they are talking 4+ a gallon but it doesnt matter to me. my gas guzzler will continue to guzzle whatever the price tops out at.

Like I said your the ones getting hit big time If anything is done about fuel pricing it should be for the people that haul our goods and not for the people that drive big suv's - trucks etc that do not need them to make a living.

Who cares, until we as americans stop are government from taking are money as well as the oil company's money there is nonthing we can do about it.I didn't hear anyone crying about it on the news. They are in the oil company's pocket to.

I am spending on average about $110.00 day to fill my work van. So I am losing $550.00 week on fuel alone. I have come to the realization that if I am to survive (not even break even) I need to raise the prices for any and all additional services and parts needed for any installations that fall out of the realm of a "Basic Replacement". My contract only pays me to do a basic install and anything outside of this I am free to charge fair market value for additional work/services. I have been keeping these costs low to not hit the customer as I am aware that a LOT of people are hurting also but I am being FORCED to have to charge more. It sucks all around. I really am not making any additional cash because the cost of fuel is taking away any additional revenue I am charging. it is a vicious cycle.

It's possible that big oil gets a nickel. It's also possible that that's a bogus number someone pulled out of the air. Suppose it's only a nickel on a gallon of gas. That doesn't in any way indicate what they get for a barrel of oil. How much does Exxon profit on a barrel of oil before it's refined. I know how much the government profits. Suddenly I don't feel so bad for them only making a nickel a gallon profit. They won't tell you that they refine their own oil and divert all the profits to the upstream side of the business to make it appear they don't make as much on the downstream side. I work for a manufacturing company that does the same thing. We manufacture parts and sell them to a parts supplier that we also own. This parts supplier marks up the parts so high it's impossible for us to make a profit. Parts wholesalers pay a different tax rate than manufacturers so we come out smelling great on both ends.

We are over $4.10 for 87 pee-pee fuel...$5+ by Memorial Day. Certainly will kill any chance of re-election for the POTUS.

Excellent. Case closed.:coffee2:
