Mopar forever
getting ready to paint my 68 GTS, I 've jammed everything so all I have to do is paint and clear the body, question is how much base and clear will I need, I was thinking a gallon of each should do it.
This is same paint I got for my car. GREAT product!2 gallons basecoat. Mix them together so they both match.
Want to have at least 2 quarts left over in case something happens to the car and you need to repaint the whole front or a complete side.
You want the color to match especially if it is a metallic. Nothing worse than a door repaint from a keyed scratch and it is the wrong color, sticking out like a sore thumb.

Good Luck on your paint job.
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it while in the middle of a paint job.Base / clear paintjob, the protection is in the clear. If your going to wet sand and buff, your going to want to use more coats of clear. Your only going to need enough base to put an even color on it. I'd get a gallon and a half of the base, 2 gallons of clear, since some of it will get wet sanded off. Garage jobs sometimes get dry line in em, or dirt, and need wet sanding to get rid of it.
