How perfect should new pinion/diff bearings be?

I've got a couple of new Koyo pinion bearings with funny marks on them. Last time I did Timkens and they didn't have these marks. The Timkens had black residue and the Koyo has black oil, so I'm guessing that's normal-ish. The mark on the roller above my pinky catches a fingernail and doesn't rub off.

You said you can catch a finger nail in one of the scratches.......that tells me the bearing is junk.....get another bearing

Much appreciated guys. I was hoping it was minor enough to ignore. Outer bearing is weird too, hopefully I can get my stuff assembled soon. C'mon 3.91's!

That bearing is garbage. Check the race/cup also. Kim
