Let the boy go !
I may consider this with my Ragtop 4 spd 833. I'm not getting any younger. Still no issues driving a stick. Following

Yes they can build a flex plate for the magnum or LA blocks they need specs however. So you would need to work with them. Along with spacers between the flex plate and the ZF torque converter there is a gap and it can vary.I’d like to do the same and have been following developments in this Facebook group. A few folks have claimed Domi-Works is developing the flex plate adapter to go from sbm to 8hp but I haven’t seen it listed on their website yet.

Does anyone have a line on a flex plate solution for the 8HP70 to an LA motor? I know that @4.7Light used something that was being fabricated by a shop that is apparently no longer an option. I've seen people comment that a 6L60E plate can be drilled for the 8HP torque converter, but I haven't found a specific example of that actually being done. It's a little crazy to me that there is a solution like this out there that doesn't even require an adapter plate and there are so few people taking advantage of it. I'm picking up a low mileage transmission and torque converter this week out of a V8 R/T. I'm sorting through the options for controllers, but it's hard to justify double the price for the turbolamic vs the Sound German solution when I have no plans of converting to fuel injection. turbolamic does seem to support a lot more options in terms of shifters, but I don't think it's worth the price for me. I'll stick with a junkyard Dodge shifter for now. My only concern is that Sound German seems like it might be a lot more of a one man shop?
