Is it possible to remove the heat/a/c box without removing the dash on a '68 Valiant?
I need to replace my heater core and blower.......

You will not need to take the dash out. there are some bolts holding it in around the blower motor on the fire wall side. There is allso a J hook in the vent box. It is hooked on the side of the fire wall and there is a nut on the bottum of the vent box holding it in.

got all those; I just can't seem to get it out enough to clear the blower motor from the firewall.
I've already destroyed what was left of the glove box.......what's next?

Whats it hitting? Should come right out of there. Did you take the AC vents off of the dash? That may help.

unbolted the right lower dash mount and got it loose...

Good to here you got it out. Don't know why it was hiving you so much trouble though. I just took the one in my 75 Duster out last night and it did get hung up a little but I just jiggle wiggled a little and it came out.

On a '69 the blower motor can be changed from the engine compartment. The heater AC box is two piece and the smaller part with the heater core comes out fairly easily once you get all the bolts taken off. Sounds like you pulled the whole unit out?

yes; I couldn't pull the blower motor, the heatercore leaked and there was some nasty "tar"-like filth running down from the 3 inch deep mouse nest stuff.....
it had to come out
